The genesis of Viewpoint
A different approach to investment management
Mac and Rob Van Wielingen set out to build a differentiated private asset management firm. Born in 2016 out of Viewpoint Group, the Van Wielingen family office, Viewpoint merges advanced data science with proven investment principles — a platform that puts systematic, rules-based decision-making at its core and offers a smarter solution for portfolio construction for individuals, institutions, and family offices.
We lead with innovation, seek to reduce behavioural bias, put investor interests at the forefront, place high value on a high-touch, personalized client experience, invest alongside our clients, and avoid unnecessary fees and costs.
Since launching in 2016, the firm has grown steadily, defined by a highly repeatable, scalable process, technological infrastructure, and research-forward approach. Today, we continue to innovate, push boundaries, and strive for excellence in everything we do to earn the right to be trusted stewards of our clients' capital.
